The Micromesh System has been used to remove and repair stains, blemishes, imperfections and damage in acrylic plastic, fiberglass, wood, painted and metallic surfaces for over 30 years. The original technological concept was designed to produce restorative products for the military and aerospace industry, where they are still used to remove scratches and imperfections from windows, ports and jet canopies, returning them to optical clarity. If we can remove scratches, scuffs, yellowing and discolorations in those applications there isn’t a surface we can’t repair and restore. We soon discovered that it works in restoring virtually any solid surface, from plastics to gold jewelry. It is a completely harmless, simple, economical and easy to use product. We’ve even color-coded the contents of each kit for ease of applications. Keep in mind that this is NOT a disguise, a fill up, or a cover up for the damaged area. It is a product that is engineered to repair the damage and restore the surface to its original state in appearance and durability. This system and products are unavailable from any other manufacturer, Micro-Surface the only producer of this completely unique product. There are two main steps in the process. The first is damage removal and the second is surface restoration. The average time it will take for complete spot restoration is roughly 5 to 10 minutes. For severe scratches and damage, it will take slightly longer to restore, simply because you will be using more pad application time to complete the restoration. At the core of kits are the super fine Micro Mesh Soft Touch® Cushioned Abrasive Pads. These micromesh or “cushioned abrasives”, unlike conventional abrasives, are made with a flexible cloth backing, topped with a layer of specially formulated binding agent to which silicone carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive crystals are bonded with a flexible glue. This abrasive technology was developed to produce a very fine scratch pattern with a relatively inexpensive abrasive crystal. The result is longer lasting material that resists loading, reduces final finishing time and produces the finest uniform scratch pattern with the most economical process. In dry applications it outlasts common abrasives 5-7 times. When used wet It outlasts common abrasives 7-15 times. The uniform scratch pattern and longevity allows any imperfections to be removed through a series of grit applications from 1500 to 12000. Each step up in grit, making the imperfection less and less distinct until it literally disappears. As an added value the Soft Touch Pads® are washable and reusable for numerous applications. |
