Installation
Select a mounting location that will provide a strong, solid and reliable surface. Avoid weak areas or uneven surfaces. Ensure that when mounted there is a level even surface so that the quick mount brackets will have solid support under the whole plate. The quick mount brackets should be mounted with 1/4" diameter stainless steel bolts. The quick mount brackets should have backing plates to distribute the load of the ladder. Before drilling any mounting holes, place the ladder into its proposed location and ensure that the ladder can freely move through its range of motion and does not impede the use of the boat.
